Halloween Weekend Recap

Happy Monday Lovies!

I hope everyone had a good Halloween! Our weekend was packed full of good neighbors and good times! Friday a lady in my office brought in home made cupcakes. I actually didn't try these but check out her art work.. I'm impressed!

I decided to semi dress up for work and trick or treating. I bought a witch hat at Target for $3 and just wore all black. It was fun to look somewhat festival. The Hubs took a picture of me waiting to hand out candy. We had an estimated 75 trick or treaters! They were all super cute. I loved checking out their costumes.

After trick or treating we headed over to a neighbors for appetizers and drinks. They have a precious litte girl that was a mouse for the night. Here is my Hubs holding the cutest little mouse! Epic fall that I didn't take any pictures of our amazing food and drink spread. The hostess did an excellent job! I also didn't get any pictures of the adults. We were having too much fun to think about pictures.

Saturday was cold and rainy here. I volunteered at my church's great day of service. Then came home and was glued to the couch. Lazy day overall! Sunday was our neighborhood cookout. Despite the chilly wind a good time was had! Here is a preview.. our pig!

A bouncy slide was provided for the kiddos. They had a blast going up and down that thing for hours!

This was pretty early in the food line up. We had so much more! It was all delicious!

I decided to have a little wine and didn't want to bring glass out there.I just took my Meredith tervis tumbler.. Classy.. I know!

These two cuties were precious! The little one was all bundled up in her stroller and the 3 year old loved posing around here. They were little hams! I think they enjoyed teh cookout. Behind them some guys are playing cornhole and other games.

Sadly another weekend has come to a close. It's November! I talked to my Mom last night and she already has her Christmas tree up and almost finished decorating it. I'm usually with her but I didn't have the energy this weekend. In my Mom's defense November and December are her busy seasons so she likes to have the house holiday ready so we can rest when she actually has off. I'm leaning towards starting my Christmas decor next weekend. I'm down to 1 present to buy.. now I just need some ribbon and boxes and I should be all set! I know I know.. I'm a litte cray cray but I'm not stressed about making my Christmas list. :)

Have a good Monday Lovies!

  1. I've heard of people putting up Christmas trees in the first week of November. With my husband being in upper management at a retail company, I understand being busy during the holidays!
